🥋 STAND TALL BURNLEY – FREE SELF-DEFENCE PROGRAMME 🥋

The Community Investment Team at Calico Homes⁠ has partnered with Wado-Ryu Karate Club to offer 10 FREE self-defence sessions for young people aged 10–15.

Designed for young people who have experienced bullying, intimidation, peer-on-peer abuse, or situations where they’ve felt unsafe, these sessions will focus on:

✅ Building confidence and resilience
✅ Personal safety awareness
✅ Dynamic risk assessment and decision-making
✅ Break-away and get-away techniques
✅ De-escalation and avoiding conflict
✅ Developing self-belief and positive choices

This isn’t about learning to fight. It’s about learning how to recognise risk, stay safe, and walk away from situations before they escalate.
